Baseball Player Placement Guide & Progression Track
For the Baseball Division - Little League Age is the child’s actual age on August 31st. of the Spring Season
'A' BASEBALL - Ages 6*/7/8
The second level tier of baseball where our goal is the build upon the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and throwing along with learning the basic rules of baseball. *Six year-old players may participate having completed one year of T-Ball.
Hitting: Players will hit the ball off a coach-operated mechanical pitching machine or coach pitch
Field Size: Games are played on a 60-foot base path
Field Type: Games are played on a turf or grass/dirt fields
Practices: 3 Activities per week: Field practices are generally twice per week (with weekly batting cage time for up to 6 weeks)
Games: There are 10 regular season games (starting the middle of March) played mostly on Saturdays; 2 hours or 6 inning games
Post Season: All Teams will play in a 2-3 game Jamboree (30min games) at Tambark
Ball Type: Safety Compression Baseball
Team Formation: Teams are formed by the Baseball "A" Coordinator based on buddy requests, school and/or neighborhoods. Team Roster sizes will be between 10-12 players
'AA' BASEBALL - Ages 8/9/10
The third level tier of baseball where our goal is the build upon the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and throwing along with learning the basic rules of baseball.
Hitting: Players will hit the ball off both kid and coach pitch
Field Size: Games are played on a 60-foot base path
Field Type: Games are played on a turf or grass/dirt field
Practices: Field practices are generally twice per week (with weekly batting cage time for up to 6 weeks
Games: There are 12 regular season games (starting the middle of March) on mostly Saturdays with some weekdays; Scores are reported; 2hrs or 6 innings
Post Season: After the close of regular season games, each team will enter a double elimination tournament to close out the season. The seeding of the tournament is a blind draft. Games during the season do not affect tournament placement.
Ball Type: Hard ball
Team Formation: Teams are formed by the Baseball "AA" Coordinator based on Player Assessments,
in effort to balance teams to the best of our ability, while not guaranteed, honoring as many player, parent, & coach requests as possible. After considering all requests, the Division Coordinator will attempt to combine teams based on school
. Team Roster sizes are 12-13 players
'AAA' BASEBALL - Ages 9*/10/11
The fourth level tier of baseball where our goal is the build upon the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and throwing along with learning the basic rules of baseball. *9 year old players may be eligible to play at this level after passing a safety evaluation.
Hitting: Kid-pitch only
Field Size: Games are played on a 60-foot base path
Field Type: Games are played on a turf or grass/dirt field
Practices: Field practices are generally twice per week (with weekly batting cage time for up to 6 weeks)
Games: There are 14 regular season games (starting the middle of March) scheduled for all days of the week; Scores are reported; 2 hours or 6 inning games. Some games will be inter-leagued between neighboring little leagues (Woodinville LL, North Lake LL or Northshore LL)
Post Season: After the close of regular season games, each team will enter a double elimination tournament to close out the season. The seeding of the tournament is a blind draft. Games during the season do not affect tournament placement.
Tournament of Champions (TOC): Upon completion of the AAA Division Tournament, an area Tournament of Champions (TOC) will be played among neighboring little leagues. Trophies are awarded for first and second place.

MAJORS BASEBALL - Ages 10*/11/12
The fifth level tier of baseball where our goal is the build upon the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and throwing along with learning the basic rules of baseball. *10 year old players may be eligible to play at this level after passing a safety evaluation.
